ANTIQUE PHOTOGRAPH ALBUM
A very stylish and good quality photograph album with a darkish pea green crocodile skin cover and a silver plated brass clasp in the art nouveau style. Gilt edges and end papers with fabulous stylised floral motifs in the manner of William Morris.
Forty apertures of differing sizes and shapes to display photographs.
The contents filled with thirty one original portrait photographs of the period, depicting a wide array of people in wonderful costumes of the day including men, women. children, and dogs some military uniforms, musical instruments and intriguing backdrops etc.
Probably dating from the late 19th century, circa 1880-1900 in date.
It is in very good vintage condition with some wear commensurate with age and use.
Approximate measurements: 23.5cm high x 21cm wide x 6cm deep.
