Item Description
An 18th-century Dutch Delft bowl, decorated in blue and white with large blooming flowers and trailing foliage on the outer body. The inside of the bowl features sprays of flowers and foliage, finished by a frieze of geometric patterns and an orange line on the rim. Painterly, loose brushwork adds a graceful movement, while the deep blue tones and orange lines create a bright contrast with the off-white ground. The bowl has a refined round shape, with tall walls on a small foot.
A rare floral bowl, unrestored and in excellent condition.
- Diameter: 19.5 cm
- Height: 6.5 cm
- Slight wear throughout, otherwise excellent condition and unrestored.
