A French 19th-century oil painting on board depicting a Camargue bull set within a typical regional landscape of marshes, dotted with clusters of tall trees and with distant hills on the horizon. The scene is rendered in sweeping green hues, creating a striking contrast with the black and white of the bull and the orange of its horns.
