Item Description
An exceptional 19th-century French giltwood wall mirror, dating back to circa 1870. This striking piece features beautifully aged foxed glass with heavy silvering graduation and authentic imperfections that lend it incredible character. The mirror is set within a finely carved, gilded frame embellished with intricate floral, leaf, and scroll motifs. Retaining its original gilt with minor, sensitive touching up over the years, the frame displays a warm, honest oxidation that speaks to its true antique provenance.
Versatile and practical, the mirror can be hung either horizontally or vertically to suit your space. It comes fully equipped with four hanging brackets, making it completely ready to place in your home. c1870
