Item Description
K0673 A superb example of mid century / retro Space Age. Iconic Danish Modern rosewood ice bucket which effortlessly bridges high-end functional barware and standalone sculptural art.
The vessel features a hypnotic, continuous vertical grain that showcases a mellow and lustrous colour.
What makes this piece truly unique is its architectural silhouette and dynamic Space Age influence.
Flanking the cylindrical body are two dramatically sculpted, aerodynamic side handles with rocket like profiles which evoke classic 1960s Atomic and Space Age design movement motifs. The top is fitted with a flush wooden lid anchored by a clean, geometric and organic rectangular pull, opening to reveal a well-preserved insulating liner engineered for entertaining. This centrepiece captures the futuristic optimism and timeless sophistication of mid-century design. All in home ready condition. c1970
