Item Description
On our last buying trip to France we met Sylvia by chance and got talking about her interest in antiques and the fact she was an artist. We looked at her work and I fell in love with it immediately. She works with acrylic paint mixed with gesso and paints onto board giving her artwork a wonderful thickness and texture.
This example is a striking abstract modern piece with a great colour pallet suitable for a huge amount of interiors. The central detail can be interpreted in a number of ways but I see it as a contemporary portrayal of a classic face. The size as well makes it a perfect feature for a wall.
