Matched pair of 19th century hand carved wax figures
A rare example in the form of a matched pair of mid 19th century hand crafted wax figures, hand painted detail and stamped at the base with numbers 12. Dressed in Elizabethan style attire. Polychrome paint, believed to have been produced for ceremonial purposes with both figures joined hands. These figures would have once been encased in a wooden glass fronted box of sorts. Unusual to find a pair in such good condition.
