Item Description
This is an absolutely gorgeous pair of antique Italian hands that were discovered recently in Naples. Once they most certainly belonged to a santo. They are hand carved from wood and date from the late 18th century. Their presence today is enhanced in my opinion with a gloriously timeworn patina created by the passage of time. The hands have been mounted recently onto stands made of steel but they could be displayed in many other creative ways, just on their own or holding perhaps jewellery [as shown in some of the images] or other decorative treasures. With the stands they measure about 31 x 8 x 8 cm or approximately 12 x 3 x 3 cm. In lovely antique condition with signs of ageing mainly seen in its fabulous patina. They are exactly as I found them [without the stands]. For the full condition please refer to the images! (The stands are included.)
