Item Description
This beautiful round stained glass window once decorated the former parish church in Glenlivet, Scotland. Dating from the mid 20th century, it is signed and dated by the artist C W Florence, a talented stained glass artist and former Principal Teacher of Art at the high school in the Scottish town of Buckie. It details a Christian scene in bold and vibrant colours in a modern depiction of the The Annunciation.
This large ecclesiastical window is over 1.5 m in diameter, making an impressive focal point in tall rooms with vaulted ceilings such as an entrance hall or stairwell. It is energetically decorated with a colourful religious scene depicting detailed figures of Mary, saints and an angel within the words ‘His Name Shall Be Called Wonderful Counsellor. The Mighty God, Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace’. It comprises of 7 beautifully painted stained glass panels fixed within a large pine frame and separated by a steel inner grid.

Good structural condition. Paint residue on frame and some joints are slightly open. A couple of minor cracks (pictured).
