Item Description
An unrestored large ecclesiastical Scottish stained glass roundel depicting the burning bush. It is handpainted around the perimeter with ‘nec tamen consumebatur’, Latin for ‘yet it was not consumed’; a phrase and symbol famously associated with the Church of Scotland.
Perhaps reclaimed from a Scottish church, this reclaimed stained glass window will make a striking feature window in any space, the details and colours brought to life by natural light.
CONDITION REPORT
Unrestored condition. No holes or missing parts. Numerous cracks to the outer green perimeter glass. Previously had a saddle bar running through the centre to provide support; saddle bar no longer present. Fitted into a temporary pine frame. Photographed in front of a light box.
