A large natural pyrite plate-like specimen. Originating from 5/15 level Wheal Jane Mine, Cornwall, this native British pyrite coating on calcite has a lustrous exterior with elements of red lead to its front that catches the light beautifully.
Naturally formed over millions of years, this striking mineral specimen showcases a distinctive golden colour, typical of pyrite, for which its metallic lustre is famously named ‘Fool’s Gold’.
This specimen is of a unique shape and scale, making for an impressive sculptural piece in any property.
