Item Description
An antique carved pine fire surround in the early Georgian / Palladian style of William Kent, the leading architect and designer of 18th century Britain.
Highly ornate, this large pine fire mantel is deeply carved with female mask and drapery to the frieze, lion mask end blocks and further drapes to the jambs beneath a breakfront shelf with egg and dart mouldings. Thanks to its intricacy and large scale, it will make a spectacular chimneypiece in any setting, bringing elegance and grandeur to a space.
