Item Description
An early 19th century giltwood convex mirror. Having a mahogany reeded slip with a moulded giltwood surround with grape vine decoration. Retaining the original gilding, backboards and magical convex mirror plate, lovely condition throughout. English, Circa 1825.
The mirror retains the original makers label for William & Jerimiah Freeman of Norwich, 1792 - 1859. Specialising in carving, gilding and manufacturers of looking glass. They supplied important country houses to include Blicking Hall & Felbrigg Hall in Norfolk. They were also exhibitors at the 1851 Great Exhibition.
