Item Description
This is an absolutely fabulous and rare collection of German nativity wooly sheep that was discovered recently in Munich. Dating from the 1930's the collection consists of a ram with four sheep and two gilded wood stands which are probably French and much older (from the 1800's). What makes this flock quite exceptional is the quality of the fine craftsmanship that went into its creation. Each sheep is carved from wood, painted and covered in real wool. They are in great antique condition because they were discovered in a box which protected them for decades. The carved wood and gilded stands show some slight wear but are still in lovely condition as well. This is a remarkable treasure, waiting to be displayed during the Christmas holidays, Easter or all year around. It is exactly as I discovered it. For the full condition please refer to the images!
