Large framed oil on canvas painting of a nude reclining female figure. Signed Duperay to the lower left.
Inscribed and signed to the rear with the name of the model, 'Neige' à Ste Eulalie en Ardèche.
Alain Duperay (b.1949)
Alain Duperay was born in Bourg de Thizy (Rhone), France in a family of nine children. From an early age, he began to draw. He quickly became attracted by colour and at the age of 12 he took up tpainting. At 18, he bgan painting with oils.
His meeting with the French artist, Maurice Montet, was influential and his encouragement and advice, opened the way for him to painting as a vocation. Since 1968, he has participated in more than 200 collective exhibitions, and numerous personal exhibitions.
