Item Description
Fine 18th-Century George III Period Mahogany Bow-Fronted Chest of Drawers
A fine quality 18th-century George III period bow-fronted chest of drawers, crafted from beautifully figured solid mahogany and dating from circa 1790. The rectangular bow-fronted moulded top sits above three long, graduated, cockbeaded drawers, all oak-lined and fitted with their original brass ring handles. A shaped apron below adds to its elegance, while the piece is supported on splayed bracket feet.
This chest boasts a superb original colour and patina, making it a striking and functional example of Georgian craftsmanship. The figured mahogany displays a rich, warm tone, and the piece is in excellent original condition. This commode is not only a testament to exceptional 18th-century craftsmanship but also a stunning example of late Georgian design, making it an ideal addition to any refined interior. Its combination of practicality and aesthetic charm allows it to sit beautifully in both traditional and contemporary settings.
