A Superb Quality and very Impressive 19th Century William IV Period Double Pedestal Mahogany Dining Table consisting Two rectangular tilt-top Centre Tables C1835
A superb and highly impressive 19th-century William IV period double pedestal mahogany dining table, dating to around 1835, this exceptional piece features a pair of substantial rectangular tilt-top centre tables. Each table is crafted from richly figured, solid mahogany with a beveled edge, showcasing the deep colour and striking grain characteristic of top-quality William IV mahogany. The tables are ingeniously joined by original cast brass forks, allowing them to serve either as impressive breakfast or centre tables or as a large, unified dining table, an unusually versatile feature for the era. The mahogany has developed a rich, warm patina, further enhancing its visual appeal and attesting to its superb original condition and careful stewardship over the years.
