Item Description
A tall giltwood mirror with carved ribbon and fluted detailing. c.1900
A finely carved giltwood mirror with a tall rectangular frame, decorated with fluted sections, twisted ribbon motifs and small sculpted corner mounts. The gilding shows an honest, time‑earned surface with areas of wear and darker patination that highlight the depth of the carving. The original glass has gentle spotting and oxidation, giving a soft, atmospheric reflection typical of mirrors from this period. The back retains its early timber panels and hardware.
A decorative and well‑proportioned antique mirror - elegant, characterful and full of genuine age.
