Item Description
Circa 1760. An early George III mahogany bureau of desirable proportions, the solid top in nicely figured mahogany, the flap with wonderful colour opens to reveal a well-fitted interior, including various pigeon holes with shaped tops and multiple drawers, and a small cupboard with divisions and drawers behind, the flap held in position by the original lopers, with a configuration of four graduation drawers, with cast brass swan neck handles with elegant back plates and proudly decorated escutcheons, beneath the bottom drawer is a stylish moulding that runs around the sides, all resting on four squat-shaped bracket feet.
