Vintage Lanvin Interchangeable Necklace

A very pretty and practical vintage 1970s LANVIN interchangeable necklace, that is perfect for taking with you on holiday as it allows you, with one piece of jewellery, to match a number of outfits for both day and night wear. It is elegant and sits beautifully on the neck.

LANVIN is a name synonymous with quality costume jewellery and this is a great example of such.

Being gold plated, the slinky snake link chain both looks and feel luxurious and is easy to wear. It is secured with a spring ring clasp which holds very securely. The three round edged rectangular acrylic inserts, or tablets, come in a vibrant Jade green, faux Tortoiseshell and glossy black colours. They can be very easily alternated and you simply place the insert into the holder and twist the catch to secure it in place. The whole is in all original and very good condition with only minor, almost invisible light surface marks which you would really need to hold up close to see and do not detract from the piece in any way.

It comes in the original, though worn presentation box. The box closes really well and is structurally very good, it is just worn on the tray. Always great to have such items in their boxes, as it not only keeps a piece secure and together at home, but makes it easy to pack when travelling. Although Lanvin presentation boxes are often found in various colours of Blue, in the 1960s and 1970s they were actually as seen here, a bright Red colour, as it was thought a good colour to attract customers attention. The outer casing bearing the LANVIN logo and on the inside back are the words 'Saks Fifth Avenue LANVIN'. 

The chain end to end is approx 15.8". The inserts are 2.04" x 1.65"
