18th Century French Cherry and Elm Enfilade/Sideboard
A Good Size 18th Century French Cherry and Elm Enfilade or Sideboard.
The top has three sections with chamfered corners that conform to the shape of the base below. The doors and drawer fronts have contrasting panels of burr elm which are inlaid in the centres. There is moulding between the narrow drawers and the cupboard doors below and stands on squared toupie front feet and plain legs to the back. The drawers have brass knob pulls and the shield-shaped escutcheons with anthemion form keys. The sides are panelled and have burr elm centres. Inside are three cupboard sections with adjustable shelves. A lovely, quality piece of French furniture.
