Item Description
An 18th century bleached oak bench, beautifully hand-carved and thoughtfully restored.
Crafted from solid oak, this beautiful bench dates to around 1720 and features a high panelled back adorned with intricate geometric and foliate carving. The bleached finish enhances the grain and detailing of the wood, lending the piece a light, natural aesthetic that complements both traditional and contemporary interiors.
The gracefully scrolled arms are supported by turned and carved front supports. The bench stands firmly on its feet with a box stretcher base.
The seat has been newly upholstered in a neutral grey linen fabric, providing a soft contrast to the warm tones of the oak and ensuring comfort without compromising the bench’s antique appeal.
This piece is in excellent antique condition with minor wear consistent with age and use. The oak frame is solid and stable, and the newly upholstered seat is pristine.
