Item Description
Mid 19th-century oval Venetian mirror with wide, scallop-cut edged frame decorated with a beautifully etched floral and foliate design. Where each section of the frame is joined, a layer of three symmetrical, elongated, shaped glass pieces in descending size secure the frame and these are held in place with a little glass flower-topped screw. The original, bevelled glass has a little age towards the top but still gives an excellent reflection. This mirror has a high, glass bow cartouche which can be re-attached, if desired, and will change the height to 108cm.
