Item Description
A large substantial English mid 19th century pine chest of drawers in original paint. This handsome chest of drawers was constructed nearly two centuries ago but has remained in remarkable condition with little structural wear. The large pine carcass houses two short drawers above three long, all drawers fitting well and running with ease. The whole piece stands on four nicely turned feet. The painted surface does have some historical wear to the drawers and carcass with only traces of paint remaining to the top of the chest. The yummy toffee colour is such that the pine revealed and the paint colour blend naturally and perfectly. The original turned wood handles remain as a complete set. Original key and working locks. Painted pine chest of drawers circa 1840.
