Kurt Ostervig Teak Nest By Jason Mobler

Kurt Ostervig teak nest by Jason Mobler

If you’re looking for a really stylish beautifully made nest of tables you’ll struggle to find a better set than this one . Kurt Ostervig was one of the top Danish Mid-Century furniture designers of his generation coming up with many beautiful simple refined designs which made Danish furniture so highly respected at the time . Today his pieces are still recognised for their beautiful minimalist form . This is Danish design and craftsmanship at it’s best .

In the 1960’s there was an amazing number of highly skilled craftsman who were able to produce beautiful pieces which although not cheap were relatively affordable to middle class buyers . Today you can still buy re-issues of a few Danish pieces , but they’re extremely expensive and made using woods that aren’t as nice as those available in the 1960’s .

It’s many years since we had another of these nesting sets as they don’t turn up often .

Large table 80cms wide 36cms deep and 48cms surface height . Small tables 36cms square and 44cms in height
