Item Description
Pair late 1950’s Beautility armchairs
Beautility were best known for their sideboards with quirky detailing , but they also made some stylish armchairs in the late 1950’s . A few years ago we sold a different design by them which was equally stylish . Neither model turns up for sale very often . The frames are beech and the base springs are similar to those used by Parker Knoll at the time .
They’d been given a very bad varnish at some point in recent years which we’ve had removed and replaced with a natural oiled finish . The upholstery and foam has been totally replaced by our in-house upholsterer who has upholstered them in a Mainline Flax by Camira . The colour is Kensington which is soft lime in colour which really suits the wood . They now meet current UK Fire regulations for domestic upholstered furniture .
62.5cms wide , back height 87cms , seat height 43cms , depth 91cms
Condition
Fully cleaned , oiled and re-upholstered . As with all vintage furniture you must expect to see some minor signs of wear if you look very closely
