An early 20th century impressionist oil on canvas by the noted Belgian artist Oscar Glas (1899–1966).
A rare and culturally significant piece from Glas's historic 1920s American period.
It demonstrates Glas’s hallmark fluid brushwork and atmospheric sensitivity, capturing a peaceful coastal inlet framed by dense foliage and illuminated rock formations.
The reverse features a period inscription identifying the location as the legendary Lover's Cove on Santa Catalina Island, California.
Mounted in its original gilt frame.
Signed and dated 1929.
