Item Description
An especiallyrare original Art Deco Dunhill silver plated and glass 1.5 pint cocktail shaker, Circa 1930s, with etched cockerel design, hand applied glass side handle and cork stoppers to the side spout and lid, which also has an internal ice breaking element.
This wonderfully evocative piece of collectable antique barware bears the Dunhill branded stamp but the pattern number (L2989) confirms that it was part ofa rare collaboration between renowned silversmiths James Dixon & Sons and Dunhill the elite luxury retailers in London. There are precious few pieces from this relationship still surviving and this cocktail shaker is in astonishingly well preserved condition with no wear to the silver plate and no cracks or chips to the glass.
