Item Description
This is a wonderful antique French Angel that was discovered recently in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue in the South of France. This gorgeous treasure is hand carved from wood depicting a head of an angel with open wings. The wood is gilded or painted in gold. Through years some of it has flaked away creating in the process a stunning patina. It measures about 31 x 33 x 7 cm or approximately 12.2 x 12.9 x 2.7 inches and it is meant to be displayed on a wall, perhaps above a bed. It is exactly as I discovered it with signs of ageing that in my opinion only brings forth its true beauty and unique appeal today. For the full condition please refer to the images!
