Item Description
A substantial unglazed solid English oak arched exterior door in the gothic revival style. This door comes without glass, ready from custom-glazing as you desire, and includes a matching oak frame as pictured.
Dating to circa 1880, this antique oak door was reclaimed from a country house in Hampshire. Steeped in history and brimming with character, it is a handsome exterior or front door for any property, fitted with ornate iron hinges and the wood stripped back to create a warm and appealing medium oak hue.
Door dimensions, excluding frame: H206 x W101.5 x D6 cm
CONDITION REPORT
Good structural condition. No glass. Stripped finish. Small losses and wear as expected from age and use. Historic repairs and alterations. Replacement oak sill. On one side of the opening, there is a piece of stained plywood which forms the top of the arch.
