Item Description
Foxed Wall Mirror - Northern-European.
Made from pine with the original mercury mirror, rectangular in form with rounded edges.
Heavy foxing, painted in a purple-brown stain with gold paint to the inside trim (C.1930).
The other, which is older (C.1900) is stained in a warm brown colour has less foxing and the mercury glass is very wavy and distorts the reflection.
Hung as portrait orientation, the measurements are 94cm in height and the width is 48cm.
We have two available to purchase separately (see the last image). They'd work nicely as a matched pair.
