A beautiful quality Danish wing armchair and matching footstool made by Fritz Hansen and designed by Arne Vodder. It’s rare to find original chairs with their matching footstools as few people bought them together back in the day. This model was designed in about 1961 and was made in various woods. This rosewood version will have been the most expensive option when new. We’ve found the stool described as Model 7861 but the few chairs we’ve found online aren’t given a model number.

A lovely design with top quality detailing throughout by one of Denmark’s best Mid-Century designers whose pieces are highly sought after today.

Excellent condition, fully restored and upholstered.

We bought these from the family of the original owners and the original fabric upholstery was well worn and in need of replacement. Our in-house upholsterer has done a fantastic job replacing all the foam where necessary and covering it in a Camira Mainline Flax which suits the design and the wood perfectly. A natural weave of flax and wool in an orange and cream mix which is quite soft and neutral.

The rosewood was looking a bit dull so it’s been given a light clean and polish and now looks great.
