Kosta chiselled glass bowl by Vicke Lindstrand
Vicke ( Victor) Lindstrand started designing for Orrefors in the 1930’s and came up with a similar idea which was produced in a number of forms. He must have revisited the battuto effect in the early 1960’sand brought it up to date in this lovely chiselled glass dish which looks as if it’s been carved out from a block of ice . It has the great advantage that it won’t melt !
It looks great empty, but it could make a great soap dish, or for nuts perhaps.
It can be sent easily as a small parcel by Parcelforce to most UK postal addresses for £20 post and packing ( excludes Highlands and Islands where higher postage costs apply )
Engraved Kosta 75983 Lindstrand which dates it to the early 1960’s ( definitely number ends in 5983, not sure if first number is a 7 )
20cms at longest, 14cms at widest, height 4cms, weight 1.66kgs
