Late 19th Century watercolour of a girl by Maria Louisa Angus
Maria Louisa Angus ( 1863-1934 ) had works exhibited at The Royal Academy between 1888 and 1893 as well as other well known galleries and exhibitions. We fell in love with this happy pretty smiling girl against the stunning stylised peacock feather and flower background, which would have been very fashionable in the late 19th Century.
Signed but not dated the style and background all put this attractive work to circa 1890.
Image size 28cms x 31cms , frame size 51cms x 54cms
ConditionAs per photos with no obvious fading or staining. The frame has been later gold painted and has some damage.
