Mogens Kold 1960’s teak Model 217 dining table seats 10

One of our favourite Danish makers and designers because all their pieces are beautifully made with simple but stylish detailing. It’s the 2nd one we’ve had in the last couple of years and like the previous one it isn’t labelled, but there is a recess where they label will have been. Many top British retailers wouldn’t sell branded products in the 1960’s and 70’s so labels are often missing, but it’s a well known model.

We’ve photographed it with a set of 10 Moller chairs we currently have for sale. It’s a comfortable 8 seater, but it will take 10 as you’ll see. We’ve also added photos of it with a set of 6 Mogens Kold chairs which have just been redone with new papercord seats.

Starts at 160cms x 85cms, height 73.5cms, each leaf adds 45cms taking it to 250cms

Condition
It’s been fully cleaned and oiled as there were some minor marks to the top as well as some unequal fading to the leaves which will have been rarely used. There is still a slight difference in colour but not very obvious. As with all vintage furniture you do have to expect to see some minor signs of wear if you look very closely.

Notes
Unlike most Danish dining tables it doesn’t have removable legs so you do need to check doorways.
