Nuutajarvi glass plate No 1 of 5 1989 by Kerttu Nurminem
A lovely sandblasted cased glass plate numbered 1 of 5 designed by Finnish designer Kerttu Nurminem and made by the famous glass maker of Nuutajarvi. Signed, dated and numbered.
Kerttu Nurminem born 1943 worked at Nuutajarvi as a designer from 1972. Lesley Jackson in 20th Century Factory Glass says ” She has also received acclaim for her cased platters and bowls decorated with sandblasted images ”.
As with all coloured glass it looks wonderful when lit.
A good size at 30cms in diameter
