Pair of 1960’s Greaves & Thomas Villager armless chairs
We’ve not seen this armless version of these lovely chairs before apart from in the 1966 catalogue we have. The design was aimed at looking modern whilst still looking right in a traditional interior which is a difficult thing to do, but has definitely succeeded here. We’ve chosen a nice coral coloured fabric to emphasise the modern side of the design.
Made from afrormosia with beech stick backs. Greaves and Thomas specialised in upholstered furniture, but also had very successful ranges of dining and other furniture mostly with a contemporary twist.
Our in-house upholsterer has replaced the webbing and made new cushions to current UK Fire Regulations which have been upholstered in a lovely coral wool fabric.
63.5cms wide 77.5cms deep, 81cms back height
Condition
Frames, cleaned and oiled and looking good. All new upholstery. As with all vintage furniture you must expect to see some minor signs of wear if you look very closely.
