Smart Fog and Morup 1960’s Cylinder IV pendant lamp by Jo Hammerborg
First appearing in around 1966 the Cylinder range came in 4 sizes from single pendant shades Cylinder 1 to this the largest with 4 shades. It came in 3 different finishes, aluminium, light brass and this one in a light copper finish. It’s joined by a teak bar and looks great over a dining table. It also retains its original teak ceiling bar which isn’t shown in the photos !
Jo Hammerborg was one of Denmark’s most celebrated Mid-Century lighting designers and worked as chief designer to the successful firm of Fog and Morup for a number of years.
ConditionIt’s been re-wired to current UK electrical standards so it’s ready to instal. It’s in lovely vintage condition with no obvious damage just very minor scratches and knocks if you look very closely, but nothing that is likely to be seen when hung.
It’s 81cms in length and 25cms in height.
