Smart pair of 20th Century French wood planters
Its difficult to date this lovely pair of French wood planters and also to be sure of what wood they’re made from. Our educated guess would be to say somewhere around 1930-50 and say they were a type of fruitwood.
We’ve had them cleaned and oiled, so as long as you continue to oil them they are very useable as even external planters, but ideally they are best used internally and would look fabulous with bay trees or similar in them in an entrance lobby perhaps.
