A lumbar pillow cover in Japanese ceremonial silk, cut from a Nishijin fukuro obi (袋帯): the imperial kiku (菊, chrysanthemum) in pearl, pewter and cacao on a lustrous copper ground , a restrained wabi (侘) register, no gold. Copper-silk reverse, envelope-pocket back, no metal against the silk; 50 × 31 cm. For warm linen and aged oak. Spot clean only. Unrepeatable, finished at the Renaras atelier, Amsterdam.

Against a lustrous copper silk ground, the kiku unfolds in an intricate botanical rhythm of pearl white, cool pewter, and warm cacao thread. No gold. No silver. The piece works in the language of wabi: restrained beauty as the most sophisticated form. The copper gives the composition its warmth. The pearl gives it its quiet.

Dispatched from the Renaras atelier in Amsterdam within two working days, wrapped in tissue and sent in a rigid protective box. United Kingdom: £14, tracked and insured, arriving within three to five working days. All customs charges for United Kingdom deliveries are settled by the atelier; nothing further is payable on arrival. European Union: delivery included, three to five working days.
