An exceptional mid-century Italian art glass pitcher, hand-blown in the historic glassmaking region ofEmpoli, Tuscany, Circa 1960. This piece features a striking, asymmetrical silhouette characterized by an elegantly flared and pinched pouring spout. The body is executed in a vibrant, translucent emerald green glass that exhibits excellent clarity and light-refracting properties typical of quality period production.
The structural design is elevated by an overarching applied arched handle, meticulously bound in its original, natural split rattan wrapping. This cane element offers a sophisticated textural contrast to the smooth glass while ensuring functional stability. Reflecting the refined aesthetic of mid-century Italian barware, this versatile jug is equally suited for service use or as a sculptural interior accent.
Excellent vintage condition. The glass is free of chips, cracks, or clouding. The original rattan wrapping remains tight, clean, and fully intact. Shown with a set of eight vintage bamboo handled cocktail stirring spoons, which are available separately (please enquire).
