Item Description

Arne Vodder 2 seat sofa.

A lovely simple design by Arne Vodder who has to rank in the top 10 Danish Mid-Century furniture designers. As you’ll see it’s labelled for Fritz Hansen who are best known for making Arne Jacobsen chairs. This would have been expensive when new so not many come up for sale today. Beautiful detailing throughout from the curve of the arms to the legs. Most importantly it is a comfortable sofa comfortable to sit on with plenty of back support.

It came with a wing chair of similar design also by Arne Vodder which is already listed. Both were badly in need of upholstery as the original blue fabric was well worn. Our upholsterer has fully re-upholstered with new cushions it in a lovely Camira Mainline Flax in shades of teal and cream which compliments the beautiful grain of the solid rosewood legs.

156cms wide, 84cms deepest point, back/arm height 75cms, seat height 45cms

Condition
Fully re-upholstered. The rosewood has been cleaned and re-polished and looks fab.
