Louis Drimmer Chinese porcelain lamp with bronze mounts
Louis Drimmer started making high end decorative lamps in 1945 . He seems to have had ceramic bases made in France , but seems also to have imported some that he had made in China . This one has top quality bronze mounts presumably added in France . The shade is a signature Drimmer one which is labelled . The porcelain may have predated the lamp itself .
The fitting is on a turned wood base which sits perfectly into the bronze mount , so it was easy to have it fully rewired with new twist cord wiring and new brass fitting . It’s PAT tested to current UK standards so it’s ready to be used .
